The Invaders and the Horsehead U14 Dynamo played a double header in Delaware Park on a very busy Sunday morning in Delaware Park.  The game was enjoyed by five hundred plus fans as the March of Dimes walk paraded by the field and throughout the morning the girls played to a background of some solid live music - hey, can we order this weather and entertainment every weekend?

The game was a repeat double header from last year - a return match in Buffalo after last year’s road trip to Horseheads.  I think as a parent all you can ask for of your children is to enjoy the sport, to work hard, and to improve.  The Dynamo parents should be very proud of their girls because the team has made great strides - and they were working hard and having some fun against a tough Invader team.  The team speed, ball skills and defense were solid - they worked every minute they were out there - and, hey, like the rest of us they got to play to some good tunes on a sunny day - so it was all good...

 Alison played excellent ball both games - had a nice goal and set up some great chances.  But this sunny day belonged to her frequent collaborator - Abbey scored a beauty in both games - one redirecting a cross with her left foot and the other nailing a right footer from the top of the box into the far side upper corner.  Abbey and Alison always bring hard work and grit when they hit the pitch - they’re getting better each time out creating space and when they have the time their deadly.

Alexis - knee over the ball - not ball over the net...  Alexis has all the tools - speed, ball control, good at passing and a dangerous shot - she’s been a great addition to the team both because of her play and because she’s a good teammate...  Each time out she becomes more comfortable with her teammates and more dangerous to her opponents...

Ok - the Electric Slide on the air waves - and Catherine, Jenna & Ari are doing the dance on the side line???  Really? - good thing they’re no judges around because they’d have been voted off the show for sure...  Zoe & Bianca show good sense & watch the game not the dancers...
